Opioid addiction is a reality many communities confront today. In partnership with Conversaciones de Salud, our Youth Community Journalism Institute leads a town hall conversation with national experts, community leaders, and affected families on solutions for the opioid crisis.
Community journalism builds relationships with communities by creating solutions and is exactly what we need to create a sustainable future.
Creating solutions with journalism is the goal of the Youth Community Journalism Solutions Festival.
Learning by doing. There’s no better teacher than experience.
It’s great to see more people recognize the value of college student journalists. But if we really want to create a sustainable community-centered news ecosystem, we need to invest in even younger students.
The program will be led in collaboration with Carmen Robles and Associates LLC and take place at partner organization, SPEAK MPLS, a community media center in Minneapolis.
