Creating solutions with journalism is the goal of the Youth Community Journalism Solutions Festival.
It’s great to see more people recognize the value of college student journalists. But if we really want to create a sustainable community-centered news ecosystem, we need to invest in even younger students.
The program will be led in collaboration with Carmen Robles and Associates LLC and take place at partner organization, SPEAK MPLS, a community media center in Minneapolis.
We need to create a culture where parents and students are treated like customers.
Youth are determined to succeed. We are determined to help them.
We had our first community solutions with youth workshop in Minneapolis. Our next step is to help youth devise a plan to increase college access.
We need to give all students an opportunity to succeed.
